I now have a MySpace Page! Also latest on teeth and job hunt.

Well.. I finally broke down and created a MySpace page so I could view other friend’s pages.  I will continue to use this as my blog and not use the Myspace one.  I have much more control over this one.  I’ve slowly been tweaking the page and just figured out how to have a realtime image of my blog’s most recent posts on the myspace profile.  It took a bit of trickery to get it to work.  I had to rename the php file to .tif and told the server to handle .tif files as PHP since they won’t allow you to reference a .PHP file as an image source.

Yeah… one other thing to waste time fiddling with.. the internet is evil.. LOL! :)

Oh, regarding my teeth/mouth.. I am getting to where I can eat more things like pizza pizza and burritos. Guess that means I’ve kind of run out of excuses for not looking for a new job. I’ve gotten too used to not going into work. At least I’ve been doing work on my various website endeavors which has kept my PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills somewhat fresh. Hmm.. I’ve never tested the more tag out.

Back in Stillwater

Well, I’m all through with taking all the post-op drugs and back in Stillwater.  Lot of email and message board stuff to catch up on.  I am going to show you what they took out of my head.  Looks gross, right?  This is sort of a test of uploading an image as well. Pulled Teeth

Well, it looks like it uploaded fine.  I might need to play around with this some later.

5 Days after Oral Surgery

Well, things are going pretty well.  Down to two anti-inflammatory steroid pills today and a couple more days of antibiotics.   Quit taking pain medication after the second day since I never felt any pain.  Yesterday, I started brushing my teeth again easily.. being careful around the areas that had teeth pulled.  Really have no desire to open something up and create a huge blood-bath.  :)

Yesterday folks and I went to Guthrie to eat and look around some of the antique stores in downtown and just drive around a bit.  Was good to get out.. I was getting a bit of cabin fever.  I had a baked potato with sour cream and butter.  It was pretty good and I was able to eat it fine.. kinda mushed it up and scrapped the potato out of the skin.

Today, we’re gonna go see a movie… Wild Hogs or 300.  I think it will be 300 today since I mentioned I wanted to see that.  Probably go see Wild Hogs on another day.  I think I have also convinced my mom to get DSL for internet, won’t cost anymore than what is being paid for dial-up now.  More on that later.  Anyhow, for those following this, my recovery is going fine so far.  :)

Well, I lived through it :)

One thing about being knocked out, it’s over before I know it.  Wasn’t near as out of it as I thought I would be afterwards.  Been eating stuff mashed potatoes and gravy, Jello-O, applesauce, tomato soup.

Not feeling much pain but I have been taking the pain meds anyway to keep ahead of anything that mind would otherwise surface.  Also started taking antibiotics and tomorrow will start taking steroids to keep the swelling done.  Kinda bleeds every now and then but nothing to be concerned with.  Anyway, think I’ll back in the chair in the living room and lay back with some more ice on my mouth.. switch every 20-30 minutes which side.  Only reason I’m on here was cause I just ate so I could take some pills. :)

Oral Surgery Tomorrow

Well, tomorrow at 11:30am I have an appointment with the Oral Surgeon to extracate 6 lousy teeth out of my mouth. They’re gonna knock me out so at least the surgery will be over quick for me anyway. Then I’ll be recovering down at the folks for a few days and will probably be too out of it to do anything for awhile. Actually, mom will be driving me there and back. You’d think after this many years of evolution humans would have better teeth… combination of soft teeth genes and drinking cokes all my life I guess. This isn’t the first time. Few years back I had around 13 removed. Dentist thinks I won’t be at the point for needing dentures or implants yet but we’ll see. I’m effectively not eating with those teeth now anyway. Total cost is $1,640 but insurance is paying for $1,275 of it. But, if you add up what I’ve been paying for continuation of health benefits… I’ve spent that much anyway.

Anyway, I’ll post how it went when I’m able. :)
