This is really just a quick post to test out the Twitter Tools plug-in I just installed. If I have it configured properly it should send out a tweet about this post with a link. So.. uhm, here goes. Hitting the publish button. 🙂 LOL, Witch Doctor by Alvin and the Chipmunks is playing in Winamp.
In case you want to edit the way it posts to Twitter, edit lines 129 and 130 of the twittertools.php file.
Additionally, I found that the daily digest didn’t do anything when I set it up. So I made my own system that scrapes the RSS feed from Twitter and saves all my tweets to a local database. Then each night at midnight a PHP script pulls any posts from the datbase that were created in the last 24 hours. Works great, and looks just like those fancy folks using LoudTwitter (http://nitsky416.livejournal.com/220733.html) which does not work with hosted WordPress. Or at least I couldn’t get it to. So I made my own!
