Just updated my blog to WordPress v6.0.2 which was a security and maintenance release with several bug fixes. As always, I backed up my files and database first. I have automatic updates disabled so I can do this beforehand. As I usually do, I updated the local copy on my PC before updating the blog here.

My TwentyTwelve parent theme was not updated so I did not have to worry about anything affecting my child theme.

I am now using the work around posted here to be able to highlight text I’ve selected with a color I choose. Although, if I select text near the right side of the editor, the color palette is partially hidden as well. I can live with this until they fix the [Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced)] plugin. So, far this update seems to have gone well. 🙂
