Blog Updated to WordPress v6.1

Just updated my blog to WordPress v6.1 (“Misha”) which contains several feature updates (and bug fixes I’m sure). As always, I backed up my files and database first. I have automatic updates disabled so I can do this beforehand. As I usually do, I updated the local copy on my PC before updating the blog here.

My TwentyTwelve parent theme was updated to version 3.8. The only thing affecting my child theme was one line change in the header.php file which was easy to match. So far the update seems to have gone well. πŸ™‚

Blog Updated to WordPress v6.0.3

Just updated my blog to WordPress v6.0.3 which mainly contained security updates and some bug fixes. As always, I backed up my files and database first. I have automatic updates disabled so I can do this beforehand. As I usually do, I updated the local copy on my PC before updating the blog here.

My TwentyTwelve parent theme was not updated so I did not have to worry about anything affecting my child theme. So far the update seems to have gone well. πŸ™‚

Blog Updated to WordPress v6.0.2

Just updated my blog to WordPress v6.0.2 which was a security and maintenance release with several bug fixes. As always, I backed up my files and database first. I have automatic updates disabled so I can do this beforehand. As I usually do, I updated the local copy on my PC before updating the blog here.

My TwentyTwelve parent theme was not updated so I did not have to worry about anything affecting my child theme.

I am now using the work around posted here to be able to highlight text I’ve selected with a color I choose. Although, if I select text near the right side of the editor, the color palette is partially hidden as well. I can live with this until they fix the [Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced)] plugin. So, far this update seems to have gone well. πŸ™‚
