I recently made a change to my Entertainment page. I have also just placed my Christmas 2005 photo album online. Only family members have access to view them; however.

Sometime tonight my MySQL database is being moved to a new server which will most likely cause some problems with my MIDI database when that happens (different IP address and so on). I’ll fix it when I get home on Monday.. until then, just have to live with it. Sorry about that folks. 🙂 Happy Holidays!
I decided to add Kingdom of Heaven to my DVD collection. 🙂 I decided to give Cable Modems a try by going for the Premium Package with Cox Cable. I was actually sort of talked into it while I was inquiring about getting their DVR (I already had Digital Cable). I figured why not since I was paying for DSL at $49.95 a month for the lower speed package (up to 1.5 mb download) and the Cox Premium package would be $54 a month after the intro rate and I’d be getting a max of 5Mbit down and 768Kb up. The fastest speedtest so far at Broadband Reports has been 4710/726 kbps. So.. downloads at roughly 4 times the speed and uploads at twice the speed for only $5 more a month… hmmmm… a no brainer there.
Well, I converted my main page over to PHP. I think I’ve changed all the links in my website accordingly. I’ve got a service request open with Network Solutions concerning the SSI and PHP issue. Yeah.. it happens everytime I move my website to a new hosting company.. always some quirks to work out. To see what’s happening, check out this test page (link removed, no longer valid). Great googly moogly! Look at the time.. I should go to bed. (I miss those NFL commercials.. course haven’t watched an NFL game in some time to know if they still have them LOL)

Well, I finally got my MIDI database functioning again after the move. 🙂 However, my counter is busted as you can see by the error above. :/ For some reason it’s not parsing PHP scripts correctly when I use the #include virtual= SSI method. I really don’t want to make my main page PHP but I might have to if I can’t figure this one out.

I am in the middle of moving my website to a different web hosting company so I am sure that some parts of the site may not work properly for awhile. I will try to fix everything as soon as possible! 🙂

Geez.. October already. Where does the time go? Anyway, I was sent an email notifying me that the song Venus which I had attributed to Bananarama was in reality originally performed by a group called Shocking Blue. I checked it out on the AMG website and he was correct. I have corrected my MIDI pageaccordingly. Thanks for the information Joseph! 🙂 While I was at it, I uploaded three songs I found on my computer by Enigma.
Well, I’ve updated my Home Theater/DVDpage to show my new shelf system and information on my XM Satelliteradio receiver. I bought a Polk Audio XRt12 XM Reference tuner. It rocks!! I decided to go with this one since it had a video-out to display the song information and menus on the TV so I can actually see what the freak I am doing while on the couch. Sounds awesome!!

Last weekend went down to visit some relatives and took my camera along. I’ve added the pics to my Photo Albumpage. They are for family viewing only so the directory has been password protected. Happy Fourth of July everyone! 🙂
Added a couple new movies: Blade Trinity and National Treasure . My Creative DC-CAM 3000Z Digital Camera broke sometime ago and I’ve recently bought a Kodak EasyShare DX7630 Digital Camera. Over to the side is a picture I took with it. I’m still playing around with it and it’s features.

May 6th.. it’s Mom’s birthday. Happy Birthday Mom! 🙂 I finally got around to entering all the playtimes for my MIDI files and have added a MIDI Jukebox feature (See menu to the left). Basically it just keeps playing random MIDI files. Yeah, I know it’s kind of silly considering I can just play whatever in Winamp, but since I could do it, I did! 😛 I’ve also discovered that I apparently look this Mr. H (link removed) guy. LOL…
Tuesday, April 19, 2005 12:21:00 AM
Added two new movies that I’ve actually had for awhile: The Incredibles and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Vol. 1. I’ve also updated my Hardware page since I had to replace my CD-RW drive that died. I decided on a Plextor PX-716A DVD±RW drive which I am really happy with.
Oh my.. up late again. 🙂 Anyway, I’ve been tinkering with my MIDI database script and in the process have uploaded several new MIDI files. Check out my MIDI page for the new files! 🙂 I added a form to it that allows me to upload new files with much less effort.. it handles the uploading of the file along with updating the database with the information I provide… a little more automated.

I have updated my MIDI Search page to be more relevant (such as using Google). I also noticed that a search bot from vanbasco.com looked at every MIDI file I had. Looked at the site and decided to add their search. I’ve moved all of last year’s news items to my Archives page. I also discovered the other day that my website hosting company had increased my storage space from 250 Mb to 5 Gigs!. So, I’ve been thinking about uploading the remainder of my old
Company of Valor website (same as my Everquest Character’s site), more MIDI files and doing some other things with the space. 🙂
I’ve been busy watching movies and have addedTroy,King Arthur, andTotal Recall(this one from the $5 bin in Best Buy).

I have updated my Sound Blaster page a bit. 🙂 I’ve added a link in there to an old Winamp MIDI plug-in that allows the auto-loading of SoundFonts. This just leaves my IRC and Programming pages to bring up to date. I could probably just get rid of the IRC page. The only time I ever use IRC is to join the #ravetrax channel at irc.ravetrax.comwhile I’m listening to Ravetrax and/or watching their live audio/video performances on Friday nights. Check em out at www.ravetrax.com. I freely admit I am somewhat slow to update things sometimes LOL.
Hey.. it’s almost Christmas!! 🙂 Anyway, I have done a lot with my MIDI page lately. I have added all the information concerning the MIDI files into a MySQL database. The Random MIDI Player and the MIDI page itself are generated dynamically from the information stored in the database. For example, any file that I have uploaded within the past 14 days will automatically display a beside it. Also, each file has a next to it which you can click to have it play in the embedded media player in the bottom-left frame. This makes it easier to preview a file before downloading it.
I’ve added The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Special Edition to my DVD Collection. I also modified my Random Midi Playing Script to generate code that works better with Windows Media Player, solving the problem of playing the music at half volume levels. This page at the MIDI Studio Consortium was most helpful in correcting my code. I also copied this code to some of my DVD pages that had embedded music as well.
I joined the new SETI@Home BOINC project a while back and have updated my SETI page to include some real time stats images. 🙂
Saturday, August 21, 2004 10:52:56 AM
Well, I have finally completed 2,500 SETI@Home Classic work units! I’ve updated my SETI page to show my new certificate. 🙂

Man, look at the time.. where did this day go? LOL. Anyway, week before last I took the week off to help my sister and brother-in-law move into their new house in Olathe, Kansas. I took a bunch of picture and here they are. For the moment they are meant only for family members and those they choose so it’s password protected. Oh, I just bought Doom 3. It rocks!
Well, I’ve made a large update to my Hardware page. It now has my current system and all the goodies in it. The thing I most physched about is my new eVGA.com e-GeForce 6800GT which I got a few days ago! 🙂
Well it seems as if my guestbook had some kind of spam/ad attack upon it. It got 55 entries full of mortgage, online casino, loan, debt consolidation, and other crap. So.. I have instituted a “I am human code” requirement which will hopefully stop these bots (or it had to of been a really bored person to fill that out 55 times). Anyway, we’ll see what happens now. 🙂

Hey, tomorrow is my birthday! Gonna be the big 35. Parents are coming to visit tomorrow. Spent all day cleaning my apartment up LOL. Anywhoo.. I have acquired yet another movie, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King!
Well.. I have started working on my SETI@home / Planetary Society page. I’ve been running SETI@home since December 7, 2003 and have been a member of the Planetary Society since December 2003 as well. Anyway, it’s not complete but it’s getting late and I need to get to bed.
I’ve added a couple new DVDs to my collection: Kill Bill, Volume 1 and The Matrix Revolutions. As such I have updated my DVD/Home Theater page. I should probably redo that page in a way that better presents my home theater setup. I also updated the Pelicar page.
I’ve added several DVD’s to my DVD movie list and added some more information while I was at it. Hmmm… I’m gonna have to go out and buy a movie to make it an even 100, LOL. 🙂
Thursday, March 18, 2004 8:14:37 PM
Well, my parents weren’t too keen on letting the whole world see our Christmas pics so I had to password protect them. I kinda agree.. that kinda stuff should only be for family and close friends.

Howdy. I am slowly updating my website after about 4 to 5 years of neglect as I’ve been focusing most of my efforts to my Everquest Guild’s website, Company of Valor. Now that the guild has disbanded I’ve shifted my efforts back to my personal website. I will be migrating the Company of Valor stuff over to this new host within the next month as well. I’ll at least be moving some of the more used items and the Company of Valor site will morph into a Mark’s Everquest Page or some such thing. Most recently, I’ve been working on the various scripts the site uses to get them working with the new webhosting company. One of the newest items added are my Christmas 2003 pictures. I’ll probably be adding a separate photo album area in which these will be part of. I’ve got some pictures I took while at the Bass Pro Shop in Oklahoma City I want to get posted. 🙂

Holy crap, I’m starting to update my web site. LOL
Fixed some links on my DVD page, which I need to add several more movies to. I seem to be playing Everquest alot at home and not getting a whole lot of anything else done hehe. Yeah, I’m addicted to it. If you play Everquest, I am on the Quellious Server as Marconious Starrdust, currently a 23rd level Ranger. I also fixed some links on my Entertainment page.

Fixed my random midi script and guestbook. It seems they were pointing to items on my old ISP. Hmmmmm.. no wonder no-one has been signing my guestbook lately. LOL 🙂

I updated my DVD page. Sign the Star Wars on DVD Campaign petition!! I also modified my IRC page a little.
Added that nifty keen time/temperature thing you see above. Just click on it to get the current weather conditions in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Also made some other little changes here and there not worth mentioning… so why did I mention they weren’t worth mentioning?

Hey, it’s Tax due day! Anyways, I updated my hardware page. I had to get a new CPU Fan as my old one kicked the bucket. Check out what I got.
Friday, April 09, 1999
Updated my IRC page. Seems as if I’ve become burnt out with it. I’m not running any channels or bots now. I just get on to have fun and chit-chat every now and then.
Wednesday, March 10, 1999
I redesigned my hardware page (still not done). Looks alot better now.
Wednesday, March 03, 1999
Updated my Hardware page. Yeah, I got myself a new toy!!! Graphics Blaster RIVA-TNT AGP.
Tuesday, February 23, 1999
I’ve been embeding the appropriate movie themes into my DVD pages. If you have a movie theme that I’m missing (in the form of a .MID file, feel free to email me a copy of it.
Oh, I’ve made little changes here and there. Guess the IRC page as seen the most modifications this time. After some more work, maybe my hardware page has had more changes. Found a MIDI file for Lost in Space, so I’ve added to my General MIDI page and now the Lost in Space DVD page also loads it. I tell you what… I can’t wait for the Star Wars Phantom Menace movie to come out! Got an email from another Mark Headrick out there, here’s what he said:
Would you consider removing the word “cheesy” from your otherwise very professional-looking webpage? It would definitely give a much better impression on viewers. I’m another Mark Headrick, in Austin, TX.
So I went ahead and decided to. Hope he doesn’t mind me quoting him here. By the way, thanks for the compliment Mark, hehe.

Lew let his thoughts be known about The Thin Red Line. I also just got Armageddon on DVD so added it’s cover to my DVD page.
